As previously mentioned on our home page, the Fitzsimmons Group was developed between Keith and Ford Fitzsimmons, two brothers with over 30+ years in the construction industry, between them. Keith & Ford share the same dream and passion - to develop their own company group and branding, and deliver high quality build products. 

 

Directors Keith & Ford both come from a trade background, working on-site for many years as fully qualified joiners.

 

Through hard work and perseverance, they were able to develop and build multiple organisations, supported by a team of dedicated and experienced professionals who form the workforce and the leadership team. 

 

The development of each division under the Fitzsimmons Group umbrella occurred one by one: they began building timber frame kits as sub contractors, expanding their knowledge, experience and work-force. 

 

After many years the Fitzsimmons Homes division was formed - Keith & Ford would then go on to build 30+ new build family homes, in Kilwinning on their first development - ‘Eglinton Meadow’. 

 

As the Fitzsimmons Homes division was formed, the need for the establishment of our own timber engineering production facility was realised. Our staff were trained in accordance with the Structural Timber Association (STA) requirements and became approved erectors. We were then able to design, manufacture and erect timber kits on our own development - creating the beginning of our Timber Engineering organisation.

 

Similar to the Fitzsimmons Timber Engineering LTD division, Fitzsimmons Construction LTD was created to fully construct our individual homes and full site from start to finish, once our development came to an end, this division remained active, carrying out a range of external works within the same field. 

Our Fitzsimmons Construction LTD team specialises in groundworks; from full driveways, slabbing work and concrete foundations, as-well as home refurbishments, renovations, extensions and the construction of new builds & full scale housing developments. 

 

Fitzsimmons Plant Hire LTD was also formed alongside Fitzsimmons Construction LTD, to aid in the construction of our first development. Our fleet of plant and machinery grew due to the progression of the Eglinton Meadow development - as we gradually required more specific machinery for this project. We continued to build our fleet outside of the development, accumulating a range of machinery for all projects. We have since greatly expanded our plant hire division, possessing an extensive range of excavators, dumpers, tele-handlers, rollers and smaller tools, as-well as multiple new services including; plant / flat transportation and our new grab hire service.
